The dried pear halves are prepared from perfect, mature fresh pears which have been washed, cored, peeled, cut, sulfured, and dried. The products have been aprroved by our customers in EU market and other countries such as Russia.
Recipe:
Dried Pear and Fig Compote Ingredients
4 ounces (about 3/4 cup) dried figs, roughly chopped
4 ounces (about 1 cup) dried pears, roughly chopped
1 cup apple cider
1/2 cup white wine
2 tablespoons orange blossom honey
6 whole cloves
1 stick of cinnamon
1 star anise pod
1/2 vanilla bean
1 (1-inch) strip lemon peel
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions
Put all ingredients in medium saucepan, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove cloves, cinnamon stick, and star anise. Serve warm or cool. Serve with pork or lamb dishes, or as topping for ice cream. Store in an airtight container with lid in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

1. Providing some iron and potassium, Pears contain pectin, a soluble fiber that helps control cholesterol levels, and cellulose, an insoluble fiber that promotes normal bowel function.
2. Dried pears offer a good source of vitamin C, folate, and dietary fiber.
