Brief of AGICO of Energy Resources

AGICO has been engaged in the research and development work in the field of biomass energy utilization, has undertaken many Chinese National Key Technologies Research and Development Programme projects as well as international cooperative projects, by using the technology stemmed from international cooperation and national projects, has developed the fixed bed biomass gasification for cooking gas supplying system as well as for power system, and the two systems have been widely used in China; also stemmed from Chinese national projects, has developed the biomass briquetting technology and the relevant equipments which have been export to Canada and some Southeast Asian countries. Sponsored by Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the institute has successfully held several times of international workshop on biomass gasification and its utilization technology for the third word countries. The main relevant works are as following:
* Sino-Italy Cooperative project titled Agricultural Residues Gasification or Comprehensive Utilization，Convention ENEA-MAE (No. 944) dated on December 19th,
1995, as a result of the cooperation, two sets of biomass gasification for power system
have been provided by Italian government and installed at the experimental area , which are
30kW fixed bed biomass gasification for power system and 160kW
internally circulating fluidized bed biomass gasification for power system.
